1. What is law?
Law is a formal ①mechanism of social control.
②法律是社会控制的正式机制
1) informal:Ethical and moral guidance
2) mechanism of social control：
Provides a structure for dealing with and resolving disputes that may arise;Provides some deterrent to those wishing to disrupt social order.
提供处理和解决可能出现的争端的结构；对那些想要扰乱社会秩序的人起到了一定的威慑作用。
